INTERVENTION ACCOMPLISHED IN 1992

It’s about an ancient lombard farmhouse, having a surface of 1000 sq.mt. and 4.000 extra sq.mt. used as green area., It has been uninhabitated and in ruins for many years, and was originally habitated partially by farmers and partially used as stalls and barns.
The restoration intervention was quite complicated and delicate, regarding both the project and the building, due to the various enviromental restrains being the property part of the Parco del Curone.
The restoration project, as well as the structural renovation, involved the whole building: 500 sq.mt were foreseen for living purpose. The project was developped with the purpose of keeping the nature of the building and of its original image, thanks to the retrieval of pictures and maps dating back to the age of the building; in fact the bulding had suffered through the years various construction interventions that alterated its style and original charme.
The electrical, heating and hydraulic systems were completely re-built by means of new lines and updated technologies. As for the plasterworks ,arean products were used both for the inner ones and for those of the façade. Both internal and external fastenings were rebuilt exactly as the original ones, although using new technologies. Smoketacks equipped with old brick and lombard bent tiles chimneis, exactly made as the original ones, were restored and added. The lombard yard, once used as the farmers vegetable garden, was retrieved and brought again to its original elegance, by rehabilitating the floorings, made of concentric drawings river-pebbles . All wrought-irons of the railings were renewed and re-installed.
The external floorings, close to the green areas, were replaced by using a local stone, as well as the surrounding ground suporting walls.
The project of the green area took into account the requiered characteristics of the park, by protecting the existing plants and adding native ones.
