INTERVENTION ACCOMPLISHED IN 1988
We are in a Liberty palace dated 1920, nearby Corso Magenta in Milan, where a 220 sq.mt. photografic laboratory, distributed into two levels and surrounded by green areas was transformed into a living space.
Originally, at the upper floor there were the offices and at the ground floor a big open space equipped as a shooting room. In order to carry out the transformation into a living space, a complete restoration of the two levels was necessary The intervention involved a complete demolition of the mezzanine and a reclamation of the basement, as the neglicence of the previous owners had left the place in a terrible state. Moreover all plants were re-done, and the flooring, previously not existing and coverd by a pvc layer, restored by using valuable materials as woods and marbles.
The purpose of the use of the two levels is made of a night and day main area, situated at the upper level plan, and a guest area and service one, in the basement.
The decor is really rational for each room: design furniture were used, flanked by antiques put in strategic spots.
